On-site registration

Extension of temporary stay
Foreigners and stateless persons must apply to the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the extension of their temporary stay at least 3 working days before the end of their temporary stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan (except for cases of forced stop during transit) and submit the required documents. The period of temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons in the country can be extended up to 60 days.
The period of temporary stay of foreigners and stateless persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan is extended in the following cases:
In case of emergency treatment in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
When close relatives living in the Republic of Azerbaijan become seriously ill or die;
when a reasoned petition is submitted by the organization that invited those persons to the country regarding the non-completion of the work provided by foreigners and stateless persons who came to the Republic of Azerbaijan due to service necessity;
when a foreigner is forced to stop in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan during transit.
