Obtaining documents by request

Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and foreigners abroad have the right to apply to the General Archive Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan through the consular service of the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad and send requests for certain documents. The next stage is as follows:

The applicant must apply to the consular service of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and pay the necessary consular fee by filling out two application forms for each required document.

The request is sent by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the General Archive Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. After the search for the request, the General Archives Department sends the required document to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be sent to the consular service of the Embassy where the request was submitted.

Registration of acts of civil status

In most countries, the registration of acts of citizenship status of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan living abroad is carried out by the consular service of the Embassies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The consular service of the Embassies of the Republic of Azerbaijan carries out the following acts of registration of state civil acts:

1) Registration of birth certificates
2) Registration of marriage certificates
3) Dissolution of marriage
4) Adoption
5) Establishing paternity
6) Name change
7) Registration of death certificates

Notarial acts

The consulate performs the following notarial operations:

1) Approves contracts (agreements, petitions) with the exception of contracts related to cases of mortgage and expropriation of residential houses in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan
2) heritage takes measures to protect the property
3) issues a certificate on the right of inheritance
4) issues a certificate of ownership of the joint property of the spouses
5) confirms the correctness of copies of documents and extracts from them
6) confirms the authenticity of the signature on the documents
7) confirms the accuracy of translation of documents from one language to another
8) confirms the fact that the citizen is alive
9) confirms the fact that the citizen is in a certain place
10) confirms the identity of the citizen and the person in the photo
11) confirms the time of submission of documents
12) accepts cash and securities for deposit
13) keeps executive records
14) accepts documents for storage
15) provides evidence
16) gives marine protests

 

Registration of citizens of Azerbaijan

Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who live permanently or temporarily in foreign countries are registered in the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan located in the area where they live (in the consular district).
Registration of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan at diplomatic missions is free of charge and the following documents must be submitted:
1) Completed account form 118a
2) 2 photos (in color, size 3x4 cm)
3) Relevant document confirming that the person lives, studies and works in Argentina permanently or temporarily
4) Original passport
5) Citizen's written application to the Diplomatic representation about registration
